Making Leeds a City of Belonging
A Leeds where everyone has a place, a voice and the power to shape what happens next.
A City That Belongs to All of Us
Leeds should feel like it’s yours.
This is a city built by the people who live here. The volunteers running community projects, the parents pushing for safer streets, the neighbours who show up when something isn’t right. The way our city is run shapes everyday life, from whether the bus turns up to whether there’s somewhere green to sit, whether rent eats half your pay, and whether services treat you with respect.
Six Green councillors are already working in communities across Leeds, backing local campaigns and pushing for change where it counts. Belonging sits at the heart of that work, keeping decisions close to the people they affect and making sure no one is shut out of the conversation.
Leeds has the talent, the energy and the heart to be fairer, greener and more connected. We’re building that future in neighbourhoods across the city, and there’s space for you in it.
Accessible public transport
Reliable, affordable buses and trains that connect every part of Leeds, not just the centre.
Green spaces protected for future generations
Parks, woodlands and local nature cared for and defended.
Homes people can afford
Warm, secure homes that people on ordinary incomes can afford.
Human rights at the heart of the city
A city that stands up for dignity, equality and compassion.
Community-led change
Real listening. Real accountability. Real local involvement.
Belonging starts close to home.
Every part of Leeds has its own challenges, its own energy, its own people stepping up. Whether it’s protecting green space, fixing unsafe crossings or pushing for warmer homes, it’s local people making change happen.

Accessible Campaigning Is Democracy in Action
I joined the Green Party because I believe politics should be rooted in community. I’ve spent years working in grassroots spaces, building disability-led projects, advocating for assistance dog users, supporting working-class dog owners, and creating inclusive…
Make Your Voice Heard On Right to Remain
12 February is the last day to respond to a government consultation on changes to the immigration system. The proposed changes would make it harder for immigrants to settle in the UK. Green party policy calls for a fair and humane immigration system, not the draconian…
